Is it free to sign up and sell?
Yes — signing up is completely free. There are no monthly fees, no listing fees, and no upfront costs to start listing your services and selling your content.
How and when do I get paid?
Payouts are processed weekly via Stripe Connect directly to your bank account. Pro members can also access instant payouts for a small processing fee. You can track your earnings in real-time from your dashboard.
What commission does Audiolancer take?
For direct sales (tracks, services, gigs, jobs), Audiolancer takes approximately 20% after payment processing (~4%). For the Sound Library, you earn a fixed £0.05 (GBP) per sample download. A significant portion of platform fees goes towards operating costs including storage, bandwidth, payment processing, and infrastructure.
Do I need a Pro membership to sell?
No. You can sell tracks, upload sample packs, offer services, and get booked for gigs on the free tier. Pro membership unlocks extras like expanded upload limits, boosted rankings, social media integrations, and instant payouts.
Can buyers find me by instrument?
Yes. Your profile showcases your instruments and skills. Buyers can filter services and gig requests by instrument, making it easy for producers looking for a specific musician to find you.
Who owns my content after I upload it?
You retain full ownership and copyright of everything you upload. For the Sound Library, you grant Audiolancer a perpetual licence to distribute your samples and sublicense them to subscribers — this ensures buyers who have already downloaded your content can always re-access it. For tracks and services, you remain in full control and can delist them at any time.
Can I sell on other platforms at the same time?
Absolutely. There are no exclusivity requirements. You're free to sell your tracks and services on any other platform alongside Audiolancer. Just be mindful of exclusive track listings — since an exclusive sale transfers full rights to one buyer, you shouldn't list the same track as exclusive on multiple platforms simultaneously.
